Here is a scriptural prayer for when you need everyday protection. I think it’s a good idea to pray this one every day or as often as you can remember to. In our day and age people are doing all kinds of things that can cause us harm if we don’t pray and allow God to protect us. There’s everything from driving drunk and stray bullets to mass destruction. So let’s make this one a regular prayer. God bless you.
God Protects Me
I and my family dwell in the secret place of the most High God. We abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
We say of the Yahweh Elohim, “You are our refuge and our fortress: our God; in you do we trust.”
Surely you deliver us from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
You cover us with your feathers, and under your wings do we trust: your truth is our shield and buckler.
We are not afraid of the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand fall at our sides, and ten thousand at our right hands; but it does not come near us.
Only with our eyes do we behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because I and my family have made you Yahweh Elohim, who is our refuge, even the most High, our habitation;
No evil befalls us; neither does any plague come near our dwellings.
For you give your angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways.
They bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our feet against stones.
We tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon we trample under feet.
Yahweh Elohim, you say to us: “Because you love me, I rescue you; because you know my name, I protect you. You call on me, and I answer you. I am with you when you are in trouble. I deliver you and bring you honor. I satisfy you with long life and show you my salvation.”
