Shabbat Shalom – Hide Not Your Commandments From Me – Psalm 119:19

Shabbat Shalom!

“I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not Your commandments from me!” – Psalm 119:19

Earth is our temporary dwelling place. We won’t get our permanent home until Yeshua returns to take back everything that belongs to His Father, who is in Heaven.

Shabbat Shalom – Hide Not Your Commandments From Me – Psalm 119:19

Until then we need to realize we belong to the Kingdom of God. Even though it isn’t a physical kingdom set up on earth, there are still rules, regulations, and ordinances to follow. That is a good thing because it keeps us healthy and joyous.

In this scripture, the psalmist recognized that while he may be dwelling on earth with human governments, only God’s way was for him. Only His commandments could make a difference in his life. He needed to know what they were so he could live by them.

God’s commandments meant everything to him. They showed him how to live, how to treat people, and mostly how to approach and treat God. He needed those commandments to survive.

How do you feel about God’s commandments? Have you rejected them or embraced them?

Love Dawn
