War Room – The Place of Prayer

For a while now I had been asking God about our relationship, about how it used to be and how it is now. I wanted that closeness again. So last week I was on Facebook and saw a post by a friend of mine. It intrigued me, but I didn’t know what she was talking about. I scrolled down a little bit and saw another post by her and realized she was talking about a movie. At first I thought it was something she was doing in her part of the world.

I searched the trailer out to see what it was about. There was a moment in the trailer that made me want to see this movie. Now I am an avid movie watcher, but not a movie goer, especially if I have to pay my own money for it.

But there was something about this movie that spoke to me so I went that night to see it, something else that I don’t normally do. I usually sit on it to make sure I really want to see it before spending any money. Usually, I wait for it to come on television. I called a few people to see if they wanted to go with me, but no answered the phone. I went alone.

Let me tell you. That was the best decision I had made concerning movies. It was an excellent movie. It was about a family on the verge of chaos. The mother met an older woman who taught her how to pray, how to fight for her family in prayer, how to win over the enemy.

There were no superstars in this movie, but they were superstars in my book. They gave a great performance. It was well written. There was a lot of laughter, some tearful moments and surprised outcomes.

What I Received from the War Room Movie

This movie sparked a light in me to pray more. I could hear the Spirit of Yah telling me, “This is what you used to do. You didn’t watch TV as much. You spent time with me, praying, praising and seeking me. You leaned on me for everything. Forgive yourself because I have and come back to me.”

Since the movie I have definitely prayed more. I am seeking Yah more and more each day because I want to get back to hearing like I used to hear, feeling completely at peace no matter what happens and being able to help others like I used to.

I encourage you to see this movie. It will change your life. I am going to see it again with my daughter this week. That’s how good it is.
