Fall on Your Face, Bow Low, and Cry Out for Mercy on Yom Kippur. It’s the Only Way to Overcome the Destruction That’s Waiting for Us.
If there was ever a year to fall on our faces, bow low, and cry out to God Almighty Most High for mercy, this is the year. Our lives, all over the world, have been turned upside down. Starting with a sneaky virus that pounces like a lion, followed by Newscasters creating unfathomable fear to being locked down, and sending some into financial ruin. But this was only the beginning
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, calls Us to Repent Now for Ourselves and the Sins of the Nation Before We are Brought to Destruction
Yom Kippur is a day of fasting and intensive prayer, crying out for mercy from the Great I AM, acknowledging our sins as well as the sins of our nation. This is the time to repent. We loved watching scary movies, eating candy, playing tricks on people, and anything else that was considered fun to do. We travelled from block to block, knocking on strangers’ doors […]
Stand Firm in What You Believe this Holiday Season
Tolerance and compromise is the message we are constantly hearing in our society. But while we, who believe in YHVH, are told to be more understanding, we are not being understood ourselves. If we choose to follow the scriptures and do what it says then we are rigid and judgmental. We have to lower our […]
Sukkot is the Feast of Tabernacles, a Biblical Feast Day
There are seven feasts or festivals of Yahweh. These feasts are to be celebrated every year at the time God specified in His word. The last three feasts happen in the fall season. They are Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. These feasts are known as the “season of t’shuvah,” the season of repentance from […]
Fasting and Prayer for Yom Kippur
For most people tonight is Yom Kippur and they will begin this day with a fast. The fast starts at sunset and ends 25 hours later. This is the time to pray, fast, and seek pardon from the King of Glory, Yahweh Elohim for sins committed towards Him. There are many fasts that are talked […]
