Don’t Test God!
The New Testament quotes Old Testament comes from Luke 4:12 and Deuteronomy 6:16. These scriptures enforces the idea of not testing God. He is not a man that he should lie nor the son of a man that He should repent.
He is God Almighty who is true to His word. He brings to pass everything He says He will do. So, there is no need to test Him to see if He is telling the truth. He never lies.
Luke 4:12 says, “But answering, Yeshua said to him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put Adonai your God to the test.’””
Deuteronomy 6:16 says, “You are not to test Adonai your God, as you tested Him at Massah.”
