The Truth about Christmas

Christmas is a sore spot for most people who say they follow the Bible. Most Christians believe Jesus is the reason for the season. Halloween to Harvest Fest – The Compromise

October 17, 2013 By Dawn 1 Comment

Trick or Treat

The majority of us grew up celebrating Halloween. It was a big deal to us. We couldn’t wait to get our costumes and go Trick-or-Treating. We loved watching scary movies, eating candy, playing tricks on people, and anything else that was considered fun to do. We travelled from block to block, knocking on strangers’ doors […]

Stand Firm in What You Believe this Holiday Season

Say No to Halloween

Tolerance and compromise is the message we are constantly hearing in our society. But while we, who believe in YHVH, are told to be more understanding, we are not being understood ourselves. If we choose to follow the scriptures and do what it says then we are rigid and judgmental. We have to lower our […]

Christmas Tree at Bellagio

Christmas is right around the corner. Millions of people are out right now buying last minute gifts for those they love, those they want to impress and those they barely speak to. If I was a betting woman, I would bet that 90% of them don’t know how Christmas started. They don’t know what the […]

Why Bring Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh as Gifts?

January 12, 2011 By Dawn 5 Comments

What’s the significance of the gifts? In “The Magi Visit Jesus,” we talked about the Magi, who they were, why they came and what gifts they brought. Silver and Gold – The Spirit of Christmas in Christmas Songs

The Spirit of Christmas in Christmas Songs (Part 3/3) This is the third and final song in my list of Christmas songs that show the spirit of Christmas. “Silver and Gold” is from the animated movie, “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer”. Burt Ives is the voice of the snowman, who starts out by telling us […]

Santa Claus is Coming to Town – The Spirit of Christmas in Christmas Songs

The Spirit of Christmas in Christmas Songs (Part 2/3) This is the second song in my list of Christmas songs that show the spirit of Christmas. Everyone knows that if you rearrange Santa’s name you get Satan, which is most appropriately. After all, millions of people worship Santa Claus as all knowing and who has […]

December 20, 2010 By Dawn 2 Comments

Every year the story of Jesus being born is celebrated as the holiday, Christmas. It tells about how he was born in a manger and how the three wise men each brought a gift for him while he was still in the manger. Books, cartoons, and movies all portray this story. However, this is not […]

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
