I Keep the Commandments of God

Shabbat Shalom!

“Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.”

People try to make you feel bad for following God’s Word. They make excuses as to why they feel like you don’t have to follow His ways. That just believing is enough. The next time this happens to you, quote them the above scripture, “Depart from me, you evildoer.”

Depart from me, you evildoers

They will get upset with you. Just remind them that you’re doing what the scripture says – working out your own salvation. Suggest they do the same.

Remember, the closer you get to God, the more consecrated you must be. You can’t do what everyone else is doing. You know what type of relationship you want with God. You know what it will take to get it. Go for it! Don’t let anyone get in your way. And if they try, tell them, “Depart from me, you evildoer because I am keeping God’s commandments.”

Does this scripture empower you to draw closer to God? Why or why not? Tell us in the comments.
