Enter into God’s Gates with Thanksgiving
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” – Psalm 100:4
Every day when we open our eyes the first words out of our mouths ought to be “Thank You Father for waking me up this morning.” It’s because of Him we are alive and able to speak to Him. He is an awesome and marvelous Father to us just because He woke us up.
Our Father has brought us through some of the hardest situations in our lives. He has glided with us through all of the fun times and joys in our lives. He has given us things we’ve wanted and needed. And He’s kept back a lot of the things He knew we didn’t need but wanted. For this alone He deserves to be thanked and praised throughout the day.
Father God has kept us from accidents the enemy had plotted against us. He rewarded us when no one else saw the good we did. He is an amazing Father. I truly appreciate all He’s done for me. So, let’s be thankful and praise God for something specific in our lives.
Father God, You Brought Me Through Hard Times
Father, the first thing You require of me is to be thankful, even in the midst of pain. No matter how hard life can be at times, I know there is always something to be thankful for. I am thankful it wasn’t worst. I am thankful for being alive. I am thankful for my family’s health. I am thankful for my friendships.
I am thankful for not staying with a man who didn’t love me. Although, that was sometimes hard to come to terms with. I am thankful that his mental abuse didn’t destroy me. I am thankful for being able to get away from him. I am thankful for You restoring my soul and helping me to see me in a better light. It’s only because of You I’m still here in my right mind. Thank You.
I am extremely thankful for the children, Your gifts to me, that came out of that relationship. I am thankful You gave them to me. It wasn’t always easy raising them, but You never left me to do it alone. Anytime I needed something, You were there making sure I had it. Father, You kept us fed, clothed, and sheltered.
Even when I was unjustly angry with You, You still watched over me and carried me through my dark days. There truly is no one like You. You are the eternal God who never sleeps or slumber. You are the Great I AM who can’t be removed from His throne. I am absolutely grateful for that. I praise You that You are God alone.
Father, I am forever grateful to You for Your overwhelming kindness and compassion towards me. Thank You for being loyal, loving, and merciful towards me and my family. HalleluYah!!!!
