I Will Keep God’s Commandments

Shabbat Shalom!

“Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.”

We live in a world where people try to make you feel bad for following God’s Word. They share their excuses as to why you don’t have to follow His ways. That just believing is enough. Yet, they can’t prove it through scripture. The next time this happens to you, quote them the following scripture.

Shabbat Shalom – Depart from Me, You Evildoers – Psalm 119:115

They will get upset with you. They will try to make you feel like you don’t understand scripture. Just remind them that you’re doing what the scripture says – working out your own salvation. Suggest they do the same.

Remember, the closer you get to God, the more consecrated you have to be. You can’t do what everyone else is doing. You know what type of relationship you want with God. You know what it will take to get it. Go for it! Don’t let anyone get in your way.

Does this scripture empower you to draw closer to God? Why or why not? Tell us in the comments.

Love Dawn
