Boast in YHWH Who Practices Grace, Justice, and Righteousness

Today’s quotes come from 2 Corinthians 10:17 and Jeremiah 9:23(24). These scriptures describe boasting. A lot of people boast in their own accomplishments, strengths, or relationships. They boast in their material wealth, or the brands they can afford, even if they aren’t wealthy.

However, the scriptures tell us if we are going to boast in anything or anyone, it should be about God Almighty, the Creator of the universe. Afterall, He is the one who have given us the relationships and things we have. It is actually because of Him we are still breathing.

2 Corinthians 10:17 says, “So, let anyone who wants to, boast about Adonai.” (CJB)

Now the amazing thing is that this scripture is a reminder of what was spoken long ago by the prophet Jeremiah, who expressed what God had said to him. YHWH Himself said to boast in the fact that we understand and know Him.

Jeremiah 9:23(24) says, “‘Instead, let the boaster boast about this: that he understands and knows me – that I am Adonai, practicing grace, justice and righteousness in the land; for in these things I take pleasure,’” says Adonai. (CJB)

When I read that part I’m reminded of John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus (the) Christ whom you have sent.” (ESV)

The Father tells us to boast in knowing who He is, in the relationship we have with Him, and in what He takes pleasure in – grace, justice, and righteousness. We are to focus on Him and His goodness, not on all the horror taking place in the world. We are to speak on His what He is doing in the earth, such as allowing us time to get to know Him and His son, Yeshua, allowing us opportunities to obey Him when He speaks to us, and allowing us time with our family and friends.

Our God is a Great Elohim and He is worthy to be boasted about. So, let us testify of His goodness to whomever will listen to us today.

Tell me one good thing God has done for you today.

Love Dawn
