God Gave Me Snow for my Birthday

I want you to know how great God is to me. My birthday is in December and one year it hadn’t really been snowing. The weather man said it wasn’t going to snow. It was going to be a rainy holiday. I was a little down about this. I really like snow.

The day before my birthday, my daughter and I were on our way home. It was getting late and it started to rain. By the time we got home the rain had turned to snow. I hadn’t even noticed. Being tired, I rushed to get into the house. All I could think about was sleep.

God is Thoughtful

My daughter stopped me in my tracks. She said, “Look Momma. God gave you snow for your birthday.” I paused, turned around and took a good look around me. She was right. I finally realized that it was snowing. The snow fell lightly everywhere – on the ground, on the trees, on the bushes – and it stuck to all of it. It wasn’t going anywhere. The snow covered the street like a beautiful white blanket.

What could I possibly do except thank my heavenly father for his snow. I woke up to beautiful white sparkly snow. When it seem like it was trying to go away it snowed some more. This snowfall lasted a few days before it finally melted. Needless to say, I was thrilled to have snow on my birthday, especially when it seemed no one else remember it. Now that’s God – the one who never forgets and always knows how to lift my spirit.

Prayer Time

Our Heavenly Father, who is in heaven,
May we see how awesome you are and recognize how much you love us.
In Yeshua the Messiah’s name, Amen.

“Many, O LORD (Yahweh) my God, are thy wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.”  Psalm 40:5 (KJV)

“How much you have done, Adonai (Yahweh) my God! Your wonders and your thoughts toward us – none can compare with you! I would proclaim them, I would speak about them; but there’s too much to tell!” Psalm 40:5 (CJB) [I love the way KJV & CJB words this verse, that is why it is here twice.]

“How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” Psalms 139:17 (KJV)
