Praise My God, the King – Psalm 145

October 15, 2011 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Psalm 145 is a song of praise by David, who was a great king in his day. He reigned over a large area of land. Yet, he acknowledges Yahweh as his king, the God of the heavens and the earth. David understood as a king, he controlled all that was under his reign just like God did. Therefore, God deserved all the praises throughout the earth. David acknowledges that while his kingdom may only last the duration of his life, Yahweh’s kingdom lasts forever, throughout eternity. Let’s praise our King with David on this day.

Praise My King

Yahweh, I praise you to the heights, my God, the king.

I bless your name forever and ever. Every day I bless you. I praise your name forever and ever.

Great are you Yahweh and you are greatly to be praised. Your greatness is beyond all searching out. Each generation will praise your works to the next and proclaim your mighty acts.

I meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty and on the story of your wonders. People speak of your awesome power, and I tell of your great deeds. They gush forth the fame of your abounding goodness, and they sing of your righteousness.

Yahweh, you are merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and great in grace.

Yahweh, you are good to all. Your compassion rests on all your creatures. All your creatures thank you, Yahweh, and your faithful servants bless you. They speak of the glory of your kingship, and they tell about your might; to let everyone know of your mighty acts and the glorious majesty of your kingship. Your kingship is an everlasting kingship, your reign continues through all generations.

Yahweh, you support all who fall and lift up all who are bent over. The eyes of all are looking to you. You give them their food at the right time. You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Yahweh, you are righteous in all your ways, full of grace in all you do.

Yahweh, you are close to all who call on you, to all who sincerely call on you. You fulfill the desire of those who fear you. You hear their cry and save them.

Yahweh, you protect all who love you, but all the wicked you destroy.

My mouth proclaims your praise Yahweh.

All people bless your holy name forever and ever.

Halleluyah!

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
