Wonderful, Beautiful, and Glorious is Our God

November 1, 2010 By Dawn 2 Comments

I heard a portion of this song in another video on Facebook. I had to find it on YouTube and share it with you. I don’t know how many times I sat replaying this song. The song is called “Here in Your Presence” by New Life Worship.

Here is the short version that caught my attention. This is just a three minute reprise. I want to give you a taste of the song before reading how wonderful, beautiful, and glorious our God is. The longer version is at the end of this post.

To learn more about this series, read “To Yahweh Be the Glory.”

Wonderful is Our God

This song inspired me to write this post at the last minute. Yahweh Elohim is truly wonderful. 1 Samuel 12:24 tells us to “be sure to fear the LORD and sincerely worship him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.” (NLT)

That’s what I want you to do right now. Take a moment and think about all of the wonderful things God has done for you. I’ve already shared a few things on this blog such as God giving me snow for my birthday, allowing me to see my grandson when I wanted to, and delivering me from the fear of storms. What are some wonderful things he has done for you? I would love to know.

Let’s be like the Psalmist who said, “O LORD (Yahweh) my God, you have done many miracles for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.” (Psalms 40:5 NLT)

Beautiful is Our God

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In my eyes Yahweh is the most beautiful being there is. If you’ve ever been in his presence then you too will know this to be a true statement. If you haven’t then all you have to do is look around you at his creation. I look at nature and think, ‘God has got to be so beautiful to have created such beauty.’ If you look at all of the different shapes, sizes, and colors of his creation, you become amazed. This is why I love nature so much.

God didn’t stop at nature and animals. He created us humans in every different shape, size, and color. And without realizing it, creative people all over the world are honoring him by imitating him. They are trying to get their art to look as perfect as the original. As they say, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Glorious is Our God

Let us shout with the children of Israel, “Who else among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is glorious in holiness like you – so awesome in splendor, performing such wonders?” (Exodus 15:11 NLT) He is full of glory and worthy to be praised. He is splendid and magnificent. There is none like him in the whole universe.

We bow before you, crying, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty who was, who is, and who is still to come. All glory and honor belongs to you.”

Matchless in Every Way

There is no one who can compare to him. There is no one who is equal to him. He is the Great I AM who is worthy of all praises and worship. “Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with you, O God?” (Psalm 71:19 NLT)

“For who in all of heaven can compare with the LORD? What mightiest angel is anything like the LORD?” (Psalm 89:6 NLT) Nothing spiritual or natural – nothing we can see or cannot see compares to him.

Full Version Video

Here is the full version. It is eight minutes long, but well worth the time. Worship God as you listen to it.

Prayer Time

Father God, who is heaven,
You are wonderful, beautiful, glorious, and matchless in every way. There is truly no one like you. Who can compare to your beauty, your holiness, your honor, or your love? No one! I declare it with the highest sound that can escape my mouth. You are wonderful, beautiful, glorious, and matchless in every way! I love you!
Your ever grateful daughter, Dawn

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
