Yahweh, Your Torah is Perfect – Psalm 19

April 21, 2012 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Psalm 19 is for the leader and written by David. I love David’s heart. He is forever praising Yahweh and telling him how wonderful he is. In this psalm he starts with how the heavens glorify him. Then he moves on to talk about how wonderful his Torah (instructions) is, while ending on a personal note. It’s amazing how all the universe glorifies Yahweh, yet, he listens to a man’s voice.

To learn more about this series, read “To Yahweh Be the Glory.”

Yahweh, Your Torah is Perfect

The heavens declare the glory of you, Elohim. The dome of the sky speaks the work of your hands. Every day it utters speech; every night it reveals knowledge.

Without speech, without a word, without their voices being heard, their line goes out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them you place a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom from the bridal chamber, with delight like an athlete to run his race. It rises at one side of the sky, circles around to the other side, and nothing escapes its heat.

Your Torah, Yahweh, is perfect, restoring the inner person.

Your instruction, Yahweh, is sure, making wise the thoughtless.

Your precepts, Yahweh, are right, rejoicing the heart.

Your mitzvah (command), Yahweh, is pure, enlightening the eyes.

To fear you, Yahweh, is clean, enduring forever.

Your rulings, Yahweh, are true; they are righteous altogether, more desirable than gold, than much fine gold, also sweeter than honey or drippings from the honeycomb. Through them your servant is warned; in obeying them there is great reward.

Who can discern unintentional sins? Cleanse me from hidden faults. Also keep your servant from presumptuous sins, so that they won’t control me. Then I will be blameless and free of great offense.

May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable in your presence, Yahweh, my Rock and Redeemer.

Halleluyah!

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
