e-Sword – Free Software Study Tool for the Bible

I enjoy studying the Bible so much that I have invested hundreds of dollars in books to help me understand the historical and cultural life of Bible times as well as the original languages the Bible was written in. Earlier in life I wanted a software program to make my studying easier, but the price hindered me from getting it.

Thanks to some very generous people, we can all study the Bible with wonderful resources for free. e-Sword is a free study tool for the Bible. There are a ton of Bibles, commentaries, books, maps, dictionaries, and more to help us understand more of the Bible.

For those who don’t really like to read, they even have audios for the Bible in English and Hebrew. I know I spent many hours trying to find the Hebrew Bible in audio form. I would find a few books here and there, but never the whole Old Testament. It was very frustrating. Now I have it. Yeah me!!!

I also have other books that I couldn’t find previously. Now I have what I want at my fingertips.

    1. I’m sorry Edgar, but I don’t actually have the software. You can download it at 119 Ministries. There is also a link to a place where you can get a CD for it. Just look on this page and I’m sure you will find what you need.

Thank you for reading my post. May YHVH bless you in His understanding of His word.

  1. I love eSword also. I actually spent lots of money on Quickverse, upgraded every time they had an update, but had lots of trouble with problems with it. The worst part was they were difficult to contact when I had a problem, sometimes they would not call me back, and more often than not their solution would not work.

For that reason I am very glad for eSword.

    Shalom,
    Herb
