Exalt Yahweh! – Psalm 30

November 12, 2011 By Dawn 3 Comments

Psalm 30 is a song for the dedication of the house. It is by David, who praised Yahweh for saving his life and healing him. He praised God for hearing him and allowing him to live another day. He encourages fellow believers to do the same. So let’s join David in praising Yahweh for all he’s done for us.

To learn more about this series, read “To Yahweh Be the Glory.”

Exalt Yahweh

I will exalt you, Yahweh, because you drew me up; you didn’t let my enemies rejoice over me. Yahweh, my God, I cried out to you, and you provided healing for me.

Yahweh, you lifted me up from grave; you kept me alive when I was sinking into a pit.

Sing praise to Yahweh, you faithful of his; and give thanks on recalling his holiness, for his anger is momentary, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Tears may linger for the night, but with dawn come cries of joy.

Once I was prosperous and used to say, that nothing could ever shake me. When you showed me favor, Yahweh, I was firm as a mighty mountain. But when you hid your face, I was struck with terror.

I called to you, Yahweh. To you, Yahweh I pleaded for mercy: “What advantage is there in my death, in my going down to the pit? Can the dust praise you? Can it proclaim your truth? Hear me, Yahweh, and show me your favor! Yahweh, be my helper!”

You turned my mourning into dancing! You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my well-being can praise you and not be silent; Yahweh my God, I will thank you forever!

Halleluyah!

Yahweh is my defence and shield. I was down to the pit but by His grace and mercy , He lifted me up and put smile in my heart again. Today, I can sing and dance again in His presence which is always around me.

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
