Names of God (Song) by Laurell Hubick

This song speaks to my heart and all I can be is humbled by the fact that YHWH is always there for me in whatever area I need Him in my life. If it wasn’t for His mercy and grace that drew me to Him. Oh, where would I be? Who would I be? What type of life would I have?

My heart cries out to Him for being so AWESOME to me! There is no one I need in this world. He is complete and He makes me complete. I tried to fill the void in my heart with other things, people, and food when all I needed was to be filled with Him.

Now I understand what David meant when he said, whatever you do just don’t take away your spirit from me. You can discipline me. You can punish me. But you can’t take away your Spirit from me. Who would I be without You? What would I have without You?

Without Him we are nothing. We have nothing. We can’t even truly enjoy anything. Forgive me for trying to fill my spirit up with other things. Forgive me for thinking just one more drink would do, one more piece of pie will make me feel better, one more sex partner was all I needed. Forgive me my Elohim, my Melech, my Adonai. Forgive me for taking so long to understand You are truly sufficient for me.

With every name you have revealed to us You are sufficient for us in whatever we may need or want.
