We are Happy in You Yahweh – Psalm 112

October 5, 2013 By Dawn Leave a Comment

In our society today everyone is looking for happiness. We buy more clothes, bigger houses, nicer cars, bigger TVs, and a lot more material goods all in the quest to be happy. We have extra marital affairs, intoxicate our bodies, and do things out of our character trying to find happiness. Yet, the one place we are guaranteed to find happiness, we walk away from. Psalm 112 tells us in whom and how we can be happy. It begins with a shout of praise to Yahweh Elohim. Then it continues to tell us that those who are happy fears Yahweh and delights in His commands. Being happy doesn’t come from another human being. It doesn’t come from over eating, doing drugs, or buying more things. It comes from honoring our Great King and abiding by His rules. It comes from being righteous. Let’s praise God for giving us a way to be happy without involving anyone or anything else except Him.

Psalm 112 : Happy in the Lord

We are Happy in You Yahweh

Halleluyah!

How happy is anyone who fears you Yahweh, who greatly delights in your mitzvot (commands).

Your descendants will be powerful on earth, a blessed generation of upright people. Wealth and riches are in your house and you righteousness stands forever.

To the upright you shine like a light in the dark, merciful, compassionate and righteous.

Things go well with the person who is merciful and lends, who conducts his affairs with fairness; for he will never be moved. The righteous will be remembered forever. He will not be frightened by bad news; he remains steady, trusting in you Yahweh. His heart is set firm; he will not be afraid, till finally he looks in triumph at his enemies.

You Yahweh distribute freely. You give to the poor. Your righteousness stands forever. Your power will be increased honorably, Yahweh.

The wicked will be angry when they see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away, the desires of the wicked will come to nothing.

Halleluyah!

Also we have come to know and trust the love that God has for us. God is love; and those who remain in this love remain united with God, and God remains united with them. — 1 John 4:16

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
