Yahweh, Restore My Soul – Psalm 23

March 31, 2012 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Psalm 23 is a short psalm, but for me it is a powerful one. It is a psalm of David. This psalm lies open on most people’s coffee table without ever being fully comprehended. Like most people I love this psalm because in my darkest nights, Yahweh spoke to me in this psalm. He became the restorer to my soul. When no amount of talking could heal me, when no amount of tears could cleanse me, he restored my soul and allowed me to dwell with him in his house. Praise Yah!

Psalm 23: The LORD is my shepherd

Yahweh, Restore My Soul

Yahweh, you are my shepherd. Therefore, I lack nothing.

You make me to lie down in grassy pastures.

You lead me by quiet water.

You restore my inner person.

You guide me in right paths for the sake of your own name.

Even if I pass through death-dark ravines, I fear no disaster; for you are with me; your rod and staff reassure me.

You prepare a table for me, even as my enemies watch.

You anoint my head with oil from an overflowing cup.

Goodness and grace pursue me every day of my life; and I will live in your house, Yahweh, for years and years to come.

Halleluyah!

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
