Yahweh, You are Awe-Inspiring! – Psalm 68

September 7, 2013 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Psalm 68 is about the God who is awe-inspiring. He takes care of those who need Him. He is a father to the fatherless and a defender to the widows, who have no one to protect them. He makes sure they are taken care of. He set captives free and give homes to those who are alone. He goes before His people to guide them and lead them into a promised land. He is truly awesome and deserves the praises of the human race forever.

Psalm 68

Yahweh is Awe-Inspiring!

We sing to you God. We sing praises to your name; we extol you who rides on the clouds by your name, Yah; and are glad in your presence.

You God are in your holy dwelling. You are a father to orphans and defender of widows.

You God give homes to those who are alone and lead prisoners out into prosperity. But rebels must live in a parched wasteland.

God, when you went out at the head of your people, when you marched out through the wilderness, (Selah) the earth quaked, and rain poured from the sky, at your presence God. Even Sinai shook at your presence God. You are the God of Israel.

You rained down showers in plenty, God; when your heritage was weary, you restored it. Your flock settled in it; in your goodness, God, you provided for the poor.

We, the kingdoms of the earth, sing to you God! We sing praises to you Adonai, (Selah) to you who rides on the most ancient heavens.

We listen as you utter your voice, a mighty voice! We acknowledge that strength belongs to you God, with your majesty over Israel and your strength in the skies.

How awe-inspiring you are, God, from your holy places. You are the God of Israel, who gives strength and power to us, the people.

Blessed be you God!

Halleluyah!

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
