Passover Basics

Today is the day Yahweh Elohim commanded us to celebrate. It is the Passover dinner, followed by the Feast of Unleaven Bread. The actual dinner takes place tonight. It is the retelling of the story of the Exodus, when Yahweh Elohim brought Israel out of Egyptian bondage. The last plague to hit Egypt was the death of the first born. In order to protect the Israel God told them to take an unblemished lamb’s blood (which they had been inspecting for four days) and put it on the doorpost so that the death angel would pass over them. This is how we get the name “Passover.” The Hebrew name is “Pesach.”

Passover involves more than what I just said and while I have participated in several Passover dinners it is different for me to teach it because Passover is one of those subjects I am still learning myself. Between the biblical, historical, and spiritual understandings it is just more than I know right now. Therefore, I am sharing with you a video that might help you gain a better understanding of Passover. I hope you enjoy it.

Jim Teaches Passover

In the video below, Jim teaches on the basics of Passover. He teaches how Passover is still commanded to be observed, why we celebrate Easter instead, why we must celebrate Passover, and some significant spiritual meanings behind it. It is a great teaching and lasts about an hour.

Side Note: There were some technical difficulty, but continue to watch it because the message was great.

Passover Video Part 1: The Basics

Passover Video Part 2: Deeper Depths

Part 2 wasn’t on his podcast list yet, but when it becomes available I’ll let you know. It goes into the timeline leading up to the Yeshua’s resurrection. He shows you astronomical proof, biblical proof, and historical proof. I loved this teaching and can’t wait to share it with you.

Until then be bless. As always, let me know what you think. Was this video helpful to you? Would you like to see more teachings like these in the future?

Prayer Time

Our Heavenly Father, who is in heaven,
Open our understanding to your scriptures and teach us by your Holy Spirit so that we won’t err, but walk uprightly before you. Help us to grasp the understanding of what you were doing concerning Passover and your other feasts that you command us to keep.
In Yeshua the Messiah’s name, Amen.
