Sing a New Song to Yahweh Elohim – Psalm 96

June 4, 2011 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Psalm 96 is about praising the creator of everything. He reigns in all the earth and in the heavens above. He is great and wondrous and deserves a new song from our hearts like David said in this song. David calls for all the families of the earth, the heavens and everything in the earth to praise Yahweh, who reigns forever.

Sing a New Song to Yahweh

I sing to you, Yahweh, a new song! I sing to you, Yahweh, with all the earth! I sing to you, Yahweh. I bless your name! I proclaim your victory day after day! I declare your glory among the nations, your wonders among all peoples!

For Yahweh, you are great, and greatly to be praised. You are to be feared more than all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but you, Yahweh made the heavens. In your presence are honor and majesty; in your sanctuary, strength and splendor.

I give you, Yahweh your due with the families from the peoples. I give you, Yahweh your due of glory and strength. I give you, Yahweh the glory due to your name. I bring an offering, and enter your courtyards.

I worship you, Yahweh in holy splendor. I tremble before you with all the earth! I say among the nations, “Yahweh is king!” The world is firmly established, immovable. You will judge the peoples fairly.

Let the heavens rejoice; let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and everything in it; let the fields exult and all that is in them. Then all the trees in the forest will sing before you, Yahweh because you have come, you have come to judge the earth. You will judge the world rightly and the peoples with your faithfulness.

Amen

Be glad, people of Tziyon! rejoice in ADONAI your God! For he is giving you the right amount of rain in the fall, he makes the rain come down for you, the fall and spring rains — this is what he does first. — Joel 2:23

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
