A New Year Brings New Changes

January 16, 2012 By Dawn Leave a Comment

Happy New Year! This has been a great year so far with a few bumps, but a great year nonetheless. After much needed R&R, it’s time to get busy so back to writing I go.

I apologize for not writing as often as I should have. Sometimes, we as human being get sidetracked and discouraged. That’s what happened to me. I started writing articles about things that angered me, but half way through them I stopped writing. I didn’t post them because I didn’t feel right. I needed to take a moment and step back from what I was doing and re-evaluate what I wanted to say.

After much thought these are the conclusions I came to:

  1. My top priority is to promote Yahweh Elohim (Jehovah God) and his son Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah.
  2. I want to build up Yahweh’s people by encouraging them and giving them unbiased (hopefully) and accurate teachings (as much as I know). Disclaimer: I’m not a scholar and nor do I know it all so I might make a few mistakes. Please forgive me in advance.
  3. I want this site to bless a lot of people so I’m expanding it and adding more subject material and opportunities for people to interact.
  4. I am not going to bash anyone or any group, if I can help it. This does not mean I won’t make comments about something, but I won’t bash people and throw them into a hell I didn’t create. I will say when something is false however.

The bottom line is that I want people to become strong in Yahweh and in the power of his might. Therefore, I am choosing to build up instead of tearing down. I hope you follow lead if you don’t already live by this principle.

New Goals

I have several goals for Common Sense Wisdom this year and hope to accomplish them all. Some of my goals are:

  • A new website design
  • Implement “Testify to the World” section where you can give your testimony and read other people’s testimonies.
  • Implement “Becoming a Disciple” section for those seeking to know who Yeshua is and how to live like his disciple.
  • Implement a web store, which would help in keeping this site running as well as offer you valuable information you can purchase from reliable sources.
  • Incorporate a column called “Common Sense Preparedness”. Every Tuesday this column helps you prepare for natural and man-made disasters. The Bible speaks of being prepared so I thought it would be good to teach on this subject.

Other things will stay the same, such as:

  • Thursdays will continue the “Common Sense Bible Study,” which involves taking a section of the Bible and analyzing it. It helps you begin to search out what’s in the Bible instead of just reading it. {Read This First about the Study Notes} for more information.
  • Saturday is the Sabbath day so articles are geared toward praising and worshipping the Creator of the earth and the universe – Yahweh Elohim. To learn more about this series, read {To Yahweh Be the Glory}.
  • On the other days I will write various articles that I hope will open your eyes and understanding to whatever I’m writing about.

I am truly trying to be more diligent with everything going on in my life. I thank Yahweh for the opportunity to release what’s inside of me using this media. I thank you for reading it and hopefully being blessed by it. If you do enjoy this blog, please let me know through commenting and pass it along to your family and friends. Thank you and Happy New Year! May Yahweh’s face shine upon you.

Daily Bible Verse

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise; then we who are left still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord. — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Hello, My Name is Dawn

I started this blog to encourage the people of God to seek Him first, to love Him more, to trust Him more, and to love His people without conditions and without prejudices.

There are so many people hurting that it breaks my heart. I want people to know that God loves them. He cares for them and is concerned about every aspect of their lives. This is the reason why Jesus came – to heal, to deliver, to restore, to set free, and to preach about the favor of Yahweh, our Father.
