Shabbat Shalom – God, You are Good – Psalm 119:75

Shabbat Shalom!

“I know, O YHWH, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.”

Father, You and I both know the road I have travelled. It wasn’t always the most kosher. I wondered far from You and Your rules. It didn’t matter how much I sinned You never left me. And even though I was in sinned it didn’t change Your rules. They didn’t become obsolete because I needed them to agree with my wrongdoing.

Shabbat Shalom – God, You are Good – Psalm 119:75

Your rules are righteous and point out to me when I am wrong. They determine rather I’m on the right path, moving towards You or away from You.

I can’t be angry with You for disciplining me when I am wrong. I am truly grateful for Your faithfulness towards me. If You allowed me to do whatever I want without any discipline, I might think You don’t love me. What parent would willing let their child head down the wrong path without warning. Or never disciplined them. Only a parent who doesn’t care about their child’s future.

Thank You for caring about my future and our relationship.
